Phase 1
Individually based
In Phase 1, we begin with an initial meeting and screening to ensure your adolescent is placed in the appropriate level of care. Once this is determined, they will start engaging in group therapy, where they will begin learning how to process their emotions and develop strategies to resist urges to use. Parents are expected to participate in bi-weekly family therapy sessions to strengthen communication and support their child’s recovery. In addition, teens will take part in creative writing and podcasting as a way to express their experiences, while also identifying healthy activities to engage in at home. A psychiatric evaluation will be conducted to assess any underlying mental health concerns, ensuring they receive the proper support throughout their treatment journey.
In Phase 2, clients deepen their commitment to recovery by expanding their support systems and establishing accountability. Using Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Reality Therapy, we help adolescents challenge self-defeating thoughts, take responsibility for their choices, and develop practical coping strategies. Clients attend a follow-up psychiatric appointment to address ongoing mental health needs and adjust treatment as necessary. They also engage in two ongoing family therapy sessions to further strengthen communication and support at home.

A key focus in Phase 2 is encouraging clients to attend self-help meetings, where they can connect with peers and experience the power of community support in recovery. Additionally, clients are expected to write and present their first competency, reflecting on their progress and the skills they are building through self-reflection and goal-setting exercises rooted in REBT and Reality Therapy principles. Consistent submission of clean urine tests is also required, fostering accountability and marking a significant step toward maintaining sobriety. By the end of Phase 2, clients have a growing support network, a clear sense of accomplishment, and a deeper commitment to their recovery goals.
Phase 2
Individually based
Phase 3
Individually based
In Phase 3, clients work toward greater independence and accountability, preparing them for a successful transition beyond treatment. A major milestone in this phase is completing their book, a personal project that reflects their journey, growth, and commitment to recovery. Adolescents also complete their second competency, demonstrating a deeper understanding of personal development and the skills they’ve built.
They continue with follow-up psychiatric appointments to fine-tune mental health support, attend self-help meetings, and are encouraged to build a relationship with a sponsor, further solidifying their support network.
This phase emphasizes compliance with house rules, reinforcing structure, responsibility, and respect for community standards. Clients also focus on developing essential life skills, such as managing commitments, setting personal goals, and making healthy, independent choices. By the end of Phase 3, clients have not only built a strong foundation in accountability and self-discipline but have also completed a meaningful creative achievement, empowering them for life after treatment.
